What will happen if platelets were absent in the blood?

Answer:

Platelets are flat, non- nucleated fragments of the large cells, formed in the red bone marrow and are a component of blood. They are bounded by the membrane and contain few organelles and some secretory granules in their cytoplasm.

Platelets serve an important role in blood clotting. At the site of injury, the platelets release platelet factor or thromboplastin which helps in blood clotting. If the platelets are absent in the clotting of blood will not occur.
