Forests are the important resource that gave us everything for the survival.
1. Forests provide the habitat for the animals and livelihoods for the human beings, provides food and protection to all the species in the wildlife.
2. Forest provides the watershed protection that helps in preventing the soil erosion and helps to improve the soil fertility by adding humus in it or improve water holding capacity of soil.
3. It provides woods for making wooden houses, doors etc., timber, papers.
4. Modern techniques of forestry have been given like irrigation, fertilizers, breeding of choice trees, tissue culture etc.
5. Forests provide us fruits, shed, oils and all the essential natural products.
6. Forests gave us the oxygen to breathe or for some essential biological activities. It helps in maintaining the oxygen and the carbon dioxide level.
7. Forests are the main resource where maximum diversity of species found.
