Explain how painting of an iron gate prevents it from rusting.

Answer:

Painting prevents rusting of iron. The process of depositing a layer of zinc on iron called galvanization. Painting prevents iron from the moisture and oxygen present in the air. When iron comes in contact with the oxygen and the moisture from the environment. it gets oxidised and makes ferric oxide (Fe2O3).
