Why does Valli stand up on the seat? What does she see now?

Answer:

Valli likes to look outside the bus. Her view blocked by the canvas blind which covered the lower area of the window. She stood up on the seat and peered over the blind in order to have a better view. The Canal, palm trees, grassland, mountains, green fields were seen by her.
