Question:

(i) List the deeds that led Ray Johnson to describe Akhenaten as “wacky”.
(ii) What were the results of the CT scan?
(iii) List the advances in technology that have improved forensic analysis.
(iv) Explain the statement, “King Tut is one of the first mummies to be scanned — in death, as in life...”

Answer:

(i) It was obvious that Akhanaten was described as wacky due to following reasons:
1) He had moved the religious capital from the old city of the Thebes to the new city of Akhetaten which is now known with Amarna.
2) He had destroyed all the images of god Amun.
3) He had closed all his temples.
(ii) When Tut’s body went through CT scan, they took 1700 digital X-ray images in cross-section. It showed grey head, neck vertebrae, a hand and several images of rib cages. Now they cleared that nothing suspicious had happened with Tut’s body.
(iii) X-ray, CT scans, ultrasound, post mortem, autopsy and biopsy.
(iv) King Tut had become a king in very small age and also died unexpectedly in small age so everyone was curious about his death and also he belonged from the rich family and CT scan and other technologies revealed the facts related to his life and death so his mummy was one of the first mummies to be scanned in life as in death.
