This Article addresses inequality in name of access to shops, hotels and places of entertainment, or the use of wells, tanks, bathing ghats, roads and places of public resort maintained completely or partially out of state funds for the use of the general public.
Omprakash Valmiki experienced something similar to Ansaris. Omprakash Valmiki was not permitted to sit with other students on the desks or mats. Ansaris were not allowed to have apartments on rent in the locality of the Hindu religion living people. Discrimination of Omprakash Valmiki was on the basis of caste while that of Ansaris were on the basis of religion.
By the above mentioned term we understand about the equality. Equality is main aspect in a democracy because democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people. Equality is the essence of democracy. Democracy doesnt exist ,if discrimination of people is done on the basis of caste, creed, religion, sex, prosperity etc.
The boy in the photograph is disabled. As per the law the building should have been available for him. But we see the law is not being applied in his case. He is taken down by security personnels via stairs. This building does not have ramps. The boy’s dignity is ignored here. He may just feel lesser. The way he is taken down may prove dangerous. This case should be taken to the court by law.
