Answer:

Yes, planarians divided by the transverse binary fission which is a type of asexual reproduction.

Process:- they fix their posterior body part to the substratum and moves their anterior part and then exerts the forceful pull over the posterior part. Due to this the middle part gets stretched and breaks down. Anterior part regenerates the posterior one and then anterior part re- growth occurs and two new individuals are formed.
