“All plants give out oxygen during | Class 10 Science Chapter Life Processes, Life Processes NCERT Solutions

Question:

“All plants give out oxygen during day and carbon dioxide during night”. Do you agree with this statement? Give reason.

Answer:

Every plant part takes care of its own gas- exchange needs, where oxygen is released and consumption of carbon dioxide occurs by the process of photosynthesis. The above statement given in this question is an incorrect statement because plants respire every time and give out carbon dioxide during the day as well as at night.
