She is not clear what she want to do in future as she changes her opinion again and again. Whereas Jansie is practical girl and well matured than Sophie. She has a clear state of mind that what she have to do in future. She tries to make a clear perspective of life to her friend to stop making big dreams after knowing the reality of their family background and financial condition and remind her that they will have to work in biscuit factory later.
