Answer:

Media “setting an agenda” has an effect on democracy. By focusing on a issue our beliefs and views are influenced by the media. It highlights important issues and sometimes also helps in getting justice for the people. Media awares us about few illegal activities taking place in the society and makes the government take strict action against the same. Sometimes due to pressure of government or forced by big business houses, the balance is not maintained. For example: During and after the Common wealth games media focused on the corruption in giving out the projects, like recently raised the “Coalgate” issue. To highlight the amount of money secretly stored in Swiss banks.
