अराड मुनि ने अविद्या निम्नलिखित अवस्थाओं को कहा है –

1. आलस्य
2. जन्म – मृत्यु मोह
3. काम
4. क्रोध
5. विषाद

अराड मुनि के अनुसार आलस्य , क्रोध , विषाद अंधकार है और जन्म मृत्यु मोह एव कम महामोह है इन पाँचो अविधाओ से अगर इंसान मुक्त हो गया तो उसका जीवन सार्थककहलायेगा  I
