 इस कहानी में अमरकांत में बोलचाल की भाषा का प्रयोग किया था उन्होंने ऐसा इसलिए किया था ताकि आम लोग इस कहानी को पढ़ सकता था उन्होंने किसी भी तरह का दिखावा नही किया था अभी बहुत सी थी इस बात पर मुशी जी अपराधी के समान अपनी पत्नी को देखते थे तथा रसोई की और कनकी से देखने के बाद किसी घुटे उस्ताद की भाती बोले रोटी रहने दो पेट काफी भर चूका था I
