What are the adaptations of leaf for photosynthesis?
Adaptations of leaf for photosynthesis are as follows:-
1. Leaves surface is flat and they absorb light, invisible infrared radiations from the surroundings during the day time and absorb heat at night from the surrounding air, vaporisation of water occurs through the leaves.
2. Leaves contain chlorophyll to trap the sunlight through which they make their own food.
3. Leaves contain small pores known called stomata on the lower surface which helps in the transpiration.
4. Transpiration is regulated by opening and closing of stomata.
