Autotrophic nutrition: The preparation of organic food from the inorganic matter on their own through various processes like photosynthesis or by chemicals, is known as autotrophic nutrition.
Heterotrophic nutrition: Which take organic food from the autotrophs, i.e, they are dependent on other organisms for the food consumption. So, taking organic food that is made by autotrophs is known as heterotrophic nutrition.
Parasitic Nutrition: It is a type of heterotrophic nutrition. When the parasites obtain their food material from the body of the host is known as parasitic nutrition. Leech is a parasite as well as a predatory worm which belongs to the Annelida phylum.
Paramecium shows holozoic nutrition which feeds on the bacteria, algae and yeasts. In them, food is digested in food vacuoles by the digestive enzymes which are released by the cytoplasm.
