In the context of conservation of natural resources, explain the terms reduce, recycle and reuse. From among the materials that we use in daily life, identify two materials for each category.

We must have done the three R’s to conserve the natural resources:- reduce, recycle and reuse.

Reduce: Reduce means that we should use less amount of things that we are using in our daily lives. Examples:- by switching off necessary lights, bulbs, fans or by not wasting food take the food in a limited amount that we can eat.

Recycle: Recycling refers to send back the used material for the manufacturing to give the new material for the use again.
Examples: agricultural waste, paper, buckets, metal objects etc.

Reuse: Reuse means we can use things again and again. Examples:- jars for putting pickles again and again, glass bottles like jam bottles can be used again in the kitchen for storage.
