How does the water kept in an earthen pot (matka) become cool during summer?
During summer the water present on the surface of the earthen pot (matka) evaporates which causes the cooling effect. Besides, earthen pot (matka) bears pores on it hence evaporation occurs continuously and so a large amount of cooling is produced.
