Stereotypes about what women can or cannot do affect women’s right to equality because they are tagged weak and powerless of doing muscular work. That is why women are known as inferior to men. They are paid lesser salaries wages in comparison to men.

Rural areas doesnt have any facilities, especially in Adivasi areas. Not having proper schools. Teachers are not available in the schools on regular basis.Schools are situated far away from homes. No transport facilities are available. Families cannot afford schooling expenses. Discrimination is done on the basis of caste, creed, religion or sex. Boys are given preference over girls for education.
Two methods of struggle that the women’s movement used are mentioned below: Campaigning: To raise their voice for discrimination and violence against women. Women groups raise voice against dowry deaths, sexual harassment. Laws were made in 1997 to save women against sexual harassment. In 1980s, laws associated with Anti dowry were passed. Raising awareness: It is an important work to raise public awareness about women’s rights by public rallies, demonstrations etc. This way we would be able to gather peoples support and let them know about womens problems. It is a innovative and positive way of finding the views and thoughts on the concerned issues thus involving more people. In this way the people who are clueless about women’s problems are also involved.
