Answer:

(i) When the dog died, it came to the farmer's dream and asked him to make a mortar and a million out of the wood of the pine tree. These converted the beans and dough into gold coins.

(ii) In the next time the spirit of the dog came again in the farmers dream and told how the wicked couple had broke and burned the mill. He suggested to collect the ashes of the burning mill and sprinkle on the withered trees and they will bloom again.
