Give any two examples of xerarch succession.

Answer:

The ecological succession is broadly classified into two categories and xerarch succession is one of them. Succession initiated with the pioneer communities in dry land and on the rock is termed as xerarch succession. This succession takes place on minimal moisture conditions; it can be Lithosere (on rocky habitat), Pasmmosere (on sandy habitat) or Halosere (on salty soil or in saline water) and eventually these are the examples of xerarch succession.
