Macromolecules are made from the single subunits or building blocks which are known as monomers and they are combined to form large molecules known as polymers. Functional macromolecules like lipids, proteins, enzymes, antibodies etc. are evolving the variants and the better adapted complex organisms. Example: enzymes of Kreb’s cycle in which, evolution occurred towards their new structure and functions.
