(a) Hydrilla: It is a rooted or Submerged hydrophytes which are the group of water plants that remains completely submerged in water and are anchored at the bottom.
(b) Typha: These are rooted emergent hydrophytes which grows in shallow water. Their shoots emerges completely above the surface of the water bearing leaves and are anchored to the bottom soil through the roots.
(c) Nymphaea: They are rooted hydrophytes with the floating- leaves. They are anchored at the bottom through the roots but their leaves floats on the surface of the water.
(d) Lemna: These are Free- floating hydrophytes which are not rooted in soil but floats freely on the surface of water.
(e) Vallisneria: They are rooted submerged hydrophytes whose leaves are ribbon shaped. They remains completely submerged in water and are anchored at the bottom.
