Answer:

(i) Cl2 can be prepared from HCl by Deacon's process.

 

(ii) HCl can be prepared from Cl2 on treating it with water.

Cl2        +       H2O        →                 HCl              +          HOCl

                                               Hydrochloric acid         Hypochlorous acid
