Answer:

In scientific notation every number is written as N x 10n, where N = a number with single non zero digit to the left of the decimal point n = exponent of 10, which may be positive, negative integer or zero

(i) 0.0048 = 4.8× 10–3

(ii) 234, 000 = 2.34 ×105

(iii) 8008 = 8.008 ×103

(iv) 500.0 = 5.000 × 102

(v) 6.0012 = 6.0012
