Comment upon the role of ear in maintaining the balance of the body and posture.

Answer:

The balance of the body and posture is maintained by the crista and macula which are specific receptors of the vestibular apparatus. Each ampulla has a sensory spot, called crista ampullaris, for the equilibrium; crista resembles a macula in the structure except that it lies on an elevation.
