What is the function ascribed to Eustachian tube?

Answer:

A Eustachian tube connects the middle ear cavity with the pharynx. It equalizes the pressure on either sides of the ear drum. Middle ear communicates with the nasopharynx by a passage called Eustachian tube which is also known as auditory tube.
