Protoxylem is the first formed xylem. If the protoxylem lies next to phloem what kind of arrangement of xylem would you call it?

Answer:

This type of arrangement of xylem is known as exarch which is present in the roots. Protoxylem appears first and matures before the organ completes its elongation.
