Do different species of plants growing in the same area show the same rate of transpiration at a particular time? Justify your answer.

Answer:

There are several factors on which the transpiration rate of the plant depends:

  5. Leaf area
  6. Thickness of cuticle etc.

The factors may be different in different plants species. Thus, different species in the same area may show different rates of transpiration at a particular time.
