Answer:

A vaccine is an antigenic preparation, when injected into the bloodstream; stimulates the immune system to synthesize antibodies which protects the body against the infection. Recombinant DNA vaccine involves the construction of the plasmid using a copy of DNA from pathogen with an empty plasmid using the Recombinant DNA technology. Simply it involves the cloning of gene encoding immunogenic protein and its expression in pathogens or mammalian cells. The first recombinant vaccine approved for human use is the hepatitis B vaccine.
