What is Mycorrhiza?

Answer:

Mycorrhizae means the fungus roots and is mutualistic association between fungi and plant roots. Mycorrhizal fungi supplies inorganic nutrients like phosphate, calcium and water to the plants, which they are able to extract from the soil efficiently and in exchange plant supplies the fungi with organic nutrients. Almost 90% of the seed plants have the mutualistic association with fungi.
