Why are blue green algae not popular as biofertilisers?

Answer:

Blue- green algae add organic matter to the soil that increase the fertility but still these are not popular as much as bio-fertilisers. This is due to several constraints which limit the application or implementation of the bio-fertilisers technology. The constraints can be environmental, technological, infrastructural, financial, unawareness, quality, marketing etc.
