In the beginning, living beings are only classified into two groups that are Plantae and Animalia. This classification was based on morphological features. But after sometime scientists discovered certain flows in this classification so they started thinking about better classification. Five Kingdom system is the most acceptable classification system in today’s time, which is propped by Robert Whittaker. It is bases on accounts of structural organization and phylogenetic relationships.
For example: In the beginning chemosynthetic autotrophs have been kept under the kingdom Protista. But recently some scientists suggests three domains of the life and six kingdom system. Such attempts are in tune with our changing understanding of life forms.
