Cycas show many characteristics which are similar to Pteridophytes such as antherozoids, presence of archegonia, Megasporophyll leaf, flagellated, circinate ptyxis etc. Thus, we can say that Cycas is the connecting link between Gymnosperms and Pteridophytes.
