Discuss briefly the role of nucleolus in the cells actively involved in protein synthesis.
 

Answer:

Nucleus contains small spherical bodies which are known as the nucleolus which are not a membrane bound structure, Ribosomes are known as the protein synthesis site and Nucleolus is known as Ribosomal RNA Synthesis site. Nucleolus also receives and stores ribosomal proteins formed in the cytoplasm. The nucleoli are larger and more numerous in the cells which are actively engaged in the protein synthesis.
