No, all living beings need different kind of food. As we see, some people eat rice, chapatti whereas some eat idli dosa etc. People have different kind of feeding habitat according to their habitat, i.e. where they live.

For example: lion (top predators) eats meat or flesh but on the other hand, cow eats grass; both have different kind of feeding habits.

Five plants and their parts that have been eaten by us are as following:

  1. We get mustard oil from the mustard plants seeds that we use in the cooking.
  2. We get rice from the seeds of the rice plants.
  3. We get banana from the Banana tree and we eat this as fruit.
  4. We get carrot from the herb and eat this as an root- part of the herbs.
  5. We get tomato from the tomato herb and we consume or have this as fruit - part of the herbs.

Animals are the main source of the food. We get milk, ghee from the animals and these are also the source of income for the people. Lions and tigers are the top carnivores and they feeds on other animals, are known as Carnivores. The animals which feeds only green plants are known as herbivores and are the second trophic level in the food chain.

They feeds on seeds and helps in dispersal, feeds on nectar of the flower which helps in the pollination.

(e) Sugarcane                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Sugarcane is a plant. After cultivation, at the industrial land, we get sugar crystals and jaggery from the sugarcane.
